ConFlikt is this weekend! I can't believe it's here already! It seems like only yesterday we were idly talking about how neat it would be if there was a dedicated Pacific Northwest Filk con. It's going to be great, there are a lot of great musicians coming to share their songs. I'm especially happy I get to see SMac again. Vixy and I don't have a specific concert lined up (unless someone else cancels), but we will be performing onstage with Seanan, and performing in the Filk circles. Beth is talking about recording a live version of Emerald Green with audience sing-along after Seanan's concert, I don't know if that's going to happen or not. Work on the Vixy and Tony album continues apace. A couple of weeks ago, we tracked backing vocals for Thirteen and Mal's Song, with the help of the wonderful Bohnhoffs as well as the truly awesome Seanan. I recorded my very first bass line ever, for Mal, and I'm quite proud. Mal is essentially done, now, save for the final mix. We have nine songs in some state of completion, with four songs left to be started. Fortunately, the major bits of production on the nine are behind us, and the remaining four are going to be simple guitar/voice pieces, so they should go quickly. Still no promises on a release date!
