What a weekend!

Friday and Saturday night were just absolutely magical. Thanks, everyone, who came and shared these two very special events with us. Our friend Saturday was a huge amount of fun, with a completely different but equally special kind of energy. First of all, John's sound work was perfect, because the stage was huge and had four returns and the house had its own mains, so it meant we could have a proper four-monitor mix on the stage. That, plus the schedule being such that it allowed us a second "tweak" sound check right before we started, meant that we could hear ourselves play super well. It was like butter. The other fun was that
I was particularly proud of the prop I made for Torrey at the last minute. I spent the one free hour I had on Saturday morning, just before going to MOHAI, cobbling it together from stuff around the house. (Watch Ariel if you want to get the reference.)
Sooj is now a cartoon. Awesome.
Marian Call is playing at Wootstock San Diego, OMGWTFBBQ. My worlds, they shrink yet again. Molly, I'm sure you and Marian will get along well; make sure to seek each other out. Marian was instructed to deliver you a big hug from me, make sure you collect on it.
And as if that weren't enough, in just a couple of weeks, we'll be playing at Faerieworlds! Everyone pray to your gods and goddesses that it's not as hot as last year. But don't pray too hard, because rain would be equally as bad.
Edit: Bonus link: 8-bit Dark Side of the Moon. "On the Run" sounds identical, go figure.
