Aug. 31st, 2010 10:11 pmWow, I've been so busy that I haven't posted here since before Faerieworlds. Which was awesome for many reasons, including the folks who came out to see us play at the Neverworlds stage next to Matt Hawk's booth. I also got to participate in creating one of the best costumes there this year, and I was very proud, both of her and of the work we did together.
And thanks, everyone, who came out to see us at Mandolin Cafe a couple weeks ago, we raised a bunch of money for the cause, had a wonderful time, and can't wait to play there again soon!
The big thing I want everyone to know about right now is coming up in just about a week, in Fremont, on Thursday September 9th. Vixy & Tony are participating in Marian Call's band for a rare full-band performance of Marian Call's songs at the Abbey. This is going to be fantastic show, including one of my favorite songwriters Molly Lewis opening, full drums/bass/guitar/strings/harmonies arrangements of some of Marian's songs, and of course, Marian herself, who is undeniably awesome. I'm quite excited and humbled to get to play with these world-class musicians who will be joining Marian, among them Jason Finn, who some of you may have seen at recent W00tstocks. Trust me, you do not want to miss this show!
As if that weren't enough, we also get to play another Sereniversary at Wayward, on Saturday, September 25, which is going to be a great, high-energy night of music and fun, as great as it is every single year. Wayward is still our number one favorite place to play, it feels like home and is always friendly and fun.
