SpoCon!

We're heading out to Spokane this weekend for SpoCon, where we'll be participating in panels with the likes of Timothy Zahn, and doing a concert on Saturday afternoon.

Last weekend, we played host to our good friends Brooke & John, who have just started recording their first album at Monkey Brains Studios. The album is going well so far, we got primary tracking done on three great songs, and they sound fantastic. We had a great time, we really enjoyed having them stay for the weekend. We even got out to see Devotchka on Saturday night, thanks to Susan.

Upcoming gigs! In addition to SpoCon this weekend, we've got:

• Sunday, August 10, 2008, 3:00 PM at A Gathering Grove in Everett. This is another double bill, with Vixy & Tony opening for the fantastic Skinny White Chick. As before, there will be crossover, with Vixy doing amazing harmony on their songs, and vice-versa.


• Saturday, August 23, 2008, 8:00 PM at House Cerulia, in Seattle. This is a house concert at 8:00, preceded by a potluck dinner at 6:30. Everyone is welcome! Please contact them and let them know you're coming, so they can plan for capacity and such.


• Friday, September 12, 2008, 8:00 PM at Little Red Studio in Seattle, we have a very special appearance. Vixy & Tony will be participating as part of the band Skinny White Chick, who is opening for the amazing Wendy Rule. I highly recommend getting tickets in advance for this one, tickets here. This is sure to be a particularly amazing night, don't miss it!

I'm not sure if you've already met him, but if you haven't, you'll like Timothy Zahn. If you have, then you know that already.
