I figure it's gotta be one of two things: 1. They want to make fun of geeks. 2. Footage of people singing folks songs makes for good television.

Based on what I know of corporate TV, I've got a pretty good idea of which it's gonna be. I was just getting a sanity check from folks in the filk community.
