Don't you monkey with the Monkey

Let it be known:

My basement recording studio is now officially known as Monkey Brains Studios, taking after the name I've used in online gaming for many years.

The house in which it resides must hereafter be referred to as The Brainpan. This will be the official name used in all logistical coordination communications by all departments.

Seattle residents:

Please mark your calendars for Friday and Saturday, March 24th and 25th, when The Paperboys return to The Tractor Tavern in Ballard. Here is a sample of a show at the Tractor with only two of the five members of the band. The whole band is even better. Not to be missed.

You should mention that some of us are planning to go en mass on the 25th, no?

Ah yes, I dearly hope for large quantities of persons that I know to be coming there with us on Saturday.

Hmmm ... *goes to the website*

You know, I might just be able to hit OLOTEAS and then come by after, given that they're not the opening act.

Last time I saw them play with an opening act, the opening act started at 9 and the Paperboys weren't even on until 10. They usually play two long sets, with the really good stuff saved for the end of each of the sets, so being late to a Paperboys show is not a problem in terms of missing too much.

It will, however, be packed solid in there on Saturday. I don't know whether they'll have to turn people away at the door or not. It would be a shame if they did.

Damn. I really need a clone. Or two.

But I'll be there, possibly even early. :-)
