Vixy and I had a fantastic time at the Wayward Coffee House last night. There were a lot of wonderful people there. We saw many familiar faces and many new ones. Thank you so much for coming, everyone. The place was absolutely packed, it was standing room only. Each time we play there, I can't imagine how they could fit more people into that place, but it seems to be more people each time. And last night was special: We had a sound guy for the first time, ever! John Seghers, who sometimes does sound for Gaia Consort and who will be doing sound at Conflikt, wanted to try out some new toys. It was nice not having to worry whether the balance was correct. The show was more fantastic than usual, because as it turns out, his opening act, Paul and Storm, are formerly members of one of my favorite groups, DaVinci's Notebook. DVN were a fantastic acapella group, and it was amazing hearing their vocal harmonies on Jonathan Coulton's songs.
