Playing catch-up

Orycon was just beyond belief. Making music with Sooj, Betsy, and Alec, as well as Angelica and Athrylis, was an experience I'll never forget, and which I hope to repeat as many times as possible. Getting to see Fae Hollow and be present for part of the recording of the upcoming Tricky Pixie album was icing on the cake. So many great things happened that weekend that I can't begin to list them. Instead, I'll just post links to some of my favorite photos taken by our friends at the convention.

We can't wait for the end of January, when we get to see Sooj and her man K again. They're coming up for Faerieballs, and hopefully they'll be able to make the dead dog on Sunday night at Conflikt.
Speaking of which, have you registered for Conflikt yet? It's going to be fantastic. We've got Seanan there as our Guest of Honor, and if all goes well, Conflikt will be the release of her new album, Red Roses and Dead Things. She's still accepting preorders, too, make sure to order yourself a few copies for yourself and friends, so that she can afford to get this album pressed in time for the con. You won't regret it, this album will be fantastic. It's got Jeff Bohnhoff producing it, and Jeff and Maya and me and Vixy are all over it. Her show at Conflikt is not to be missed, she's coming up to Seattle over the Christmas holiday to visit and rehearse with the eleventy-billion amazing musicians that will be sharing the stage with her.
As for upcoming Vixy & Tony stuff, we've scheduled a house concert and a Wayward Coffeehouse concert, both in January, the 3rd and the 24th, respectively. Seanan will be joining us on the 3rd, which is a very special thing, so please come!
We're also still expecing that article in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine to appear at the end of this month, in the January issue (not the December "Music Issue" currently pictured at their web site, as far as I know). We're not sure how big it's going to be. It might be anything from a little blurb to a full-page spread, that's information they don't share with us. But it's going to be something at least, because they called us and did a bunch of fact-checking about our music, about Filk in general, and about Conflikt. We're crossing our fingers.
See you all in January!
