CDBaby, Web site updates, Spring, and Wayward

I've got no idea what the holdup is with CDBaby. We got confirmation that they received our CDs, and now bupkis for a whole week. Perhaps if we're lucky, next week they'll be available for sale. Fingers crossed.

In the meantime, we're in the process of sending throngs of CDs to Filk distributors. We've contacted several distributors already, and many of the CDs are already on their way or are already in the hands of the distributors. If you're a distributor and we missed you, please drop us a line.

On the good side, I've got our blogs functioning on the main page of VixyAndTony.com. Doing code for those little tabs is a real pain, takes a lot of fiddling to get them working just right. There are a few more changes to come at the Vixy & Tony web site, mostly fixing up little details and getting the illustrations finished. The web site design and layout, and final art were done by Chris Mangum, and the illustrations were hand drawn by Seanan McGuire, and I'd like to extend our thanks to them for doing such a great job!

In other news, Spring seems to have finally arrived here in Seattle. As I write this, I'm out on Susan's back porch, in the sunshine, surrounded by blooming plants, cats, singing birds, and a warm gentle breeze.

We've also just accepted an offer to be the Filk guests at TusCon in November. I'll give you one guess as to which city that one's in.

Finally, remember that one week from today, on April 19th, we've got a performance at Wayward Coffee House. Be there or be symmetrically rectangular.

Aren't all rectangles symmetrical?

Not in all axes, you pedant. :-)

Ahh, but NO rectangles are symmetrical in all axes! That would be a circle.

Uh.. why are you holding a machete, Tony?

Hey, I don't have to take this kind of abuse from a lowly banjo player. :-)

Usually I charge EXTRA for this kind of abuse! You're actually saving money.

I don't recall many axes having a rectangle. Isn't a triangle more common?

I keep checking CDBABY looking for your CD. I remember it seemed to take forever before they got mine all processed. Once they did that initial part though, everything else with CDBABY has run really smoothly for me. :-) And hopefully it will for you too.

I'm really looking forward to getting my copy (and buying some as gifts for people!)

Oh yes. I have used CD Baby for years for Shadowbeast, and have adored them all along. I just don't know why it's taking longer than promised this time. I guess they're bigger now than they used to be...

I think that may be the case, in (whining) conversation with all the people I'm pushing your myspace site onto, I've heard tell of more than one other CD set up that took over 2 weeks. :(

Just as an FYI, Chris did the layout, web design, coding, Illustrator adaptation from the sketchy pencil illustrations into snazzy 'this are serious website, it rule muchly' graphics, and absolutely everything else.

I drew sketchy pencil illos which he didn't even need me to ink, because he is JUST THAT COOL.

So, y'know.

Corrected.
