Show tonight!

We had a great rehearsal this week with [livejournal.com profile] s00j, [livejournal.com profile] omnisti, [livejournal.com profile] stealthcello, [livejournal.com profile] measurethrice/[livejournal.com profile] saladofdoom, and a tide of kittens! And there was fire, too! The music was just wonderful, you should hear how good Vixy and Sooj sound together.

Oh wait, you can! This very night! Remember, the new location is at Sunset Hill Community Center, 3003 NW 66th Street in Ballard, and tickets are $20.00 at the door. Things get started around 8-ish, and tonight's events will include the dance troupe Transcend, Skinny White Chick with Vixy & Tony participating as members of the Skinny White Chick band, and Wendy Rule headlining. This show is going to be mind-blowing, and if you don't come, you'll never forgive yourself for missing it. So please come!

Oh, and you should have been there last night! Wendy had spent something like 26 hours on various and assorted planes, but when she & [livejournal.com profile] stealthcello and Clint were rehearsing, they gave me goosebumps!

150 on this end, 17 on that end, dinner in the middle, check wallet, ticket is there, OK, gods willing and the creek don't rise, I will see the gang in the place where this long strange trip started. Can't wait!

Woo! That would be awesome. Man, my musical calendar is getting full. Double whammy of you guys, jam with the Murkworks contingent between'em, Great Big Sea in row, six, I think, and then Gaia Consort doubles up in October... (If you guys haven't seen them and have *any* room in your schedule, I highly recommend'em...)

I spent a couple days in the studio with Gaia Consort once, but haven't yet seen any of their live shows.

I'm coming up to Seattle next weekend to meet several darling friends in person for the first time. I gets to sneak in and watch them rehearse. I am soooooo giddy.

There is only one place we ever consider moving to (other than that castle in Wales when we win the lottery) and that's Seattle...there is such a huge concentration of our chosen family there.

We're basically at your collective disposal...tell us where to show up for lunch, dinner, rehearsal, whatever, and we'll be there.

S. says you'll like music geeking with the Tanuki, btw. He has a degree in music and video stuff, and he used to do sound for several bands. So he gets into all the technical sound stuff. Me, I just sit around and bliss out to happy music. I'll probably bring my word collection and sit and make pendants and listen to the creative process.

Alas, Sooj will not be in town at Conflikt 2009. She was there last year (it's how we met her in the first place), but if I'm understanding her schedule correctly, she'll be in another part of the country at that time.
