Honored Guests

Thank you so much, everyone who came to Soulfood Books on Saturday and made it such a wonderful night. Particularly, thanks very much to Clint, who provided such a great place for us to play, and who played a mean djembe on a few of our songs. And thank you, Betsy, for being awesome, as you always are. We are blessed to have such great people in our lives.

To the new folks who were there on Saturday: it was wonderful how you took the time after the show to come say hello and let us know how much you enjoyed it. If you were one of them, hit the "comment" link below and say hi, and thank you for giving the evening the perfect ending.

Holy cow, we've got Consonance in just a scant few days. Wow, are we the guests of honor? I guess we are! Consonance is very special to us in so many ways, and it's an incredible honor to be their guests this weekend. I'm also thrilled that I can finally come to Consonance with a finished album in hand (some of you might remember me with my head buried in the laptop all weekend last year during the album's crunch time). And of course, I can't wait to see all our old friends again and make music with them. We'll see you all there!

It was a good show, and I hope you get invited back, it's a nice space. I tried to stop and say hello after the show, but couldn't get through the throng. :-)

Give my love to everyone in San Jose.

One of the drawbacks to having a great crowd is not necessarily getting to talk to everyone I want to talk to after the show. I'm glad I got to see you and say hi before the show, though. *HUGS*

I'm so glad you came.

One of these days we have to game again, either on a board or on a console.

Agreed! Soon!

I'm sorry I couldn't get there, but I didn't get done until 9:45, and, well, foo. Have fun at Consonance, tho'!

Blah, we were just saying we wish we could go...
Have fun!

Hammered awesome. Only thing missing was S00j to take the folk part on Strange Messenger so you could break out the classical... but you'll get to that, I'm sure. :)

Will miss you guys this weekend.... but will definitely be there the 28th!

Aw, bother. Consonance is going to come and go again without me this year. Bother.

(Any chance you guys would consider coming just a wee bit further south someday?)

I've done Conchord before, and may well do it again in the future. :-)

Weel. That's better...but checking the site, I know nobody. And getting to Woodland Hills from my house is like...*ponders*...Port Orchard, or Olympia. Except flat. And nothing but city. Worst traffic in town. That sort of thing.

...really want to go back to Seattle...*kicks can*

Will you be bringing Betsy to Consonance in your suitcase?

Well, we can hope, right?

See you soon.

Oh, I wish we could!

one of the new folks :)

Yeah, [livejournal.com profile] tiedyechameleon and I were two of those that came up and talked afterwards. Hopefully we'll be able to see you again at Norwescon.

You guys reminded me of how much I've missed playing and singing in a group for the past few years. It may be a while yet before the kids are old enough for me to start doing that again on a regular basis, but at least I should take my horn out for a walk. (Heck, the twins have never even seen the thing, they'll probably get a kick out of it. :) )

I also really liked the performance space. Agreed that you should get Clint and Betsy to play on your next album; their contributions were amazing.

Thanks again!

Awesome! I'm so glad you got a sitter that night and came to see us.

Yeah, Betsy and Clint on the next album for sure. And Sooj, too.

I did a momentary double take when you said that you should take your horn out for a walk.

No, no! Not a Spanish horn, a French horn! :)

(Which is not the best filking instrument of all time, but what the hell, it's at least novel.)
