Norwescon!

The concerts at Norwescon were awesome! Everyone came, the rooms were packed, every person in the crowd was awesome. Thank you so much, everyone! You made it special.

Playing purely acoustically (no sound system) for our evening set felt a little unusual, but it was strangely liberating and fun. I hope everyone could hear us OK. Sooj and Betsy played fantastically. Does anyone have (more) pics or videos?

Thanks!

Yeah, the room was overpacked with fans, making it too hot and too crowded. I was quite disappointed to see that the following day, it had been turned into the much larger double-room with an actual stage. In fact, having been at Norwescon before, it was what I'd expected to see when I arrived, and was a little taken aback to find ourselves crammed into a tiny panel space.

It was made even more disappointing when I found out that Little Knight Music was cancelled and the big double-room with the stage didn't even get used at all for a concert on Saturday.

If they want us back next year, I'm going to make that one of our preconditions: At least a double room and a stage. Or maybe it's time for us to graduate to the ballroom and sound system...

I would have expected the room to be opened up to both rooms myself. It's a shame that you're so popular! I mean... uh... It's GOOD!

I think the double-room and the stage would have been perfect. It's like you want the room full, but not too full. IMHO the ballroom/soundsystem is just too large to really feel intimate. Speaking as an audience member I like closeness rather than the stadium feel, if that makes sense?

Just my 2 cents. I thought ya'll did well and I did get 2 CDs from the dealers room! :)

(And the Joss Whedon Sing-along had both rooms and the stage too.. so.. ?!?!? )
