If someone asks, 'are you a god?', you say YES.
Dave "
saladofdoom" Tinney is a Golden God.
We (that is to say,
tfabris,
vixyish,
tereshkova2001, and
gfish) are fully moved into The Agora now. Yes, that's the name we've settled on, thanks
wcg for the suggestion.
Thanks to Dave's (and everyone else's) help, four households converged into one house last weekend. We had an entire team of people fill and move a 17-foot truck twice. It was EPIC. Dave was the ultimate foreman and Tetriser, and managed to take charge and get everything done while Vixy was too sick to work, and I was frantically doing the last bits of packing and organizing.
The team of ultimate movers consisted of
saladofdoom,
bansai8,
damiana_swan,
satyrblade,
solarbird,
libraryraven,
eman_p,
ladydrakaina,
dornbeast,
k_crow,
hsifyppah, and
jlunder. Thank you all SO MUCH for your help, we are forever in debt to you all.
The Agora is now filled with a mind-boggling assortment of mismatched furniture and cardboard boxes. We should have TV and Internet on Wednesday. Maybe we might even get a mailbox soon (Right now? Not so much with the mail receiving).
Tonight we do the final cleaning of The Brainpan and hand its keys over to Connie, the world's sweetest landlady. I'll miss her.
I am frazzled, sore all over, and looking forward to the daunting (and surprisingly physical) task of getting the household (and the new Monkey Brains Studios) back up and functioning again. Wish us luck.
See you all on the other side.
