Jobs!

My company is hiring for a Director of Information Technology. I'm also told we're looking for a temporary Web Developer position that may go permanent (it's Windows ASP/SQL/Dotnet type stuff). They pay well, the atmosphere is relaxed and positive, and I like the people I work with. I get a decent referral bonus, so ping me if you want me to submit your resumé for you.

thanks for posting these - this one isn't a fit for *me*, but I'd recommend it to someone who's got the IT management chops. I had a really good conversation with the hiring manager for the support jobs (and a very thoughtful and personal 'we're going with other candidates with more recent Prod Support exp' letter...) I'm definitely going to keep my eye on your company for possible positions, sounds like a good workplace.

It's one of the things that impresses me most about our company... if they turn someone down, they inform them they're doing so in a timely fashion. It's so polite.

I spent a year and a half looking for work in this town, and only got those kinds of responses from about 1 percent of the companies at which I applied.

Sorry you didn't get in, but I'm glad you gave it a shot. :-)

Yes, *exactly*! The 'dear john letter' a company sends says a lot about how they treat their people... and they were also clear about why they were going with the other candidates; I feel that a PM or other job that fits my skill set there would be pretty awesome.
and thank *you* for the opportunity to give it a shot
:-D
