I am the crazy.

I'm gonna go get the hotel cart in a moment to get our gear out of the filk room here at Conflikt in just a moment. We're gonna get ready for our flight to the UK pretty soon so we need to try to get some brief sleep soon.

It's been a fantastic con. Best Conflikt yet. No room to list all the good stuff, so here are some personal favorite highlights:

- [livejournal.com profile] tereshkova2001's first time singing in a filk circle.

- Tom Smith's GOH concert which blew the roof off the place.

- Andrew Ross's fantastic toastmaster concert, and getting to participate in it.

- Getting to participate in CD Woodbury's fantastic concert on Friday.

- House Cerulia girls doing parody songs either about Vixy or to the tune of her songs.

- Getting to sing with Alec for the first time.

- A set of live recordings made by John Seghers, culled from some of our shows this year, fetching a wonderfully hefty sum in the Interfilk auction. (UK folk: You get your shot at the same recording for your Filk Fund this coming weekend, get those "pounds" of yours ready.)

- Playing with Betsy in circle and on stage again.

Really tired but really happy. Can't wait to see how the rest of the week plays out.

Are they going to stream the UK con as they have in years past?

*sigh* I can't remember *what* it was you and Alec sang together; I remember it was Beatles but not which one.... but I also remember it being pretty awesome...

Your(plural) performance of "Anna" finally kicked my muse in the head; I banged out 275 words last night before I had to throw in the towel. And "Dawson's Christian" Saturday night, with CD and Alec and Brooke and maybe Creede adding instrumental fills was at least as awesome as the YouTube version from Smoked Salmon I. Just, wow.

And seeing Ms. Katie jump right in solo with her own stuff was a treat, too...

Safe journey to y'all, and much ass-kickery at the other end...

Hee. It was a blast, and I'm so glad I went again.

Safe journey to the UK, my friends.

It was indeed a wonderful weekend; I'm so glad I went!

Getting to play with you and Vixy was, as always, a treat -- and what you and Alec created together was nothing less than magic. Several parts of that gorgeous performance literally gave me the shivers, and I know I wasn't the only one. I'm looking forward to hearing you two sing together again soon (hint, hint :-).

Have a safe and excellent trip!

Only comment on the CD.. Its still in Renton (for another 20 minutes or so till I leave for the airport)....

I did have help getting it. And its price went full circle. ($360). That was the 2nd highest priced item from the interfilk auction... Keepers of the Flame did about $250 more.

I think Keepers of the Flame went for $680. But any normal year, the Vixy & Tony CD would've been the highest-priced.

True... I normally would have been out of the running on it, except I did have help from a couple of others. Right now, I am listening the the Brunch CD. (Vixy and Tony is going to get listened to as I get a chance. (and I finish unpacking.)

It was an incredible weekend! I can't say thanks enough to you, Vixy, and Betsy for doing the Friday night set with me. You totally made that show a success.

I hope that you and Vixy are having a fantastic time in the UK.

And I have a CD for you. The only reason I didn't mail you one over the holidays as a gift was that I was near certain you'd get one of them at the Con, (and I knew that the mass produced ones would turn out a little better)

"- [info]tereshkova2001's first time singing in a filk circle."

THIS is the thing no one told me about.

**heart explodes!!!**

I did a barely-average version of "The Day Kenobi Died", because the NW filkers needed to hear it. :)
