How hard can it be to steal a train?

| The Jonathan Coulton and John Hodgman appearances at the beginning of September were fantastic. I've got pictures and video from them both here: 826 Seattle Benefit Pictures Vixy and I were asked, a long time ago, to participate in Nancy Freeman's Stardust County project, and now it's finally happening. Mid-September, we went to San Jose to record vocal tracks in Jeff Bohnhoff's studio. It was a lot of fun. Pictures from those sessions are available here: Stardust County Recording Session Pictures We also got to visit, rehearse, and record with our good friends Paul Kwinn and Seanan McGuire while we were there. It was a great weekend. We've also been working on Vixy's album. This last month has brought a nearly complete production of the new song I talked about in August, the one with the 70's power-rock arrangement, and the co-writing of yet another new song that's going to knock your socks off when it's done. I'm considering taking some of these nearly-finished tracks, burning them onto a CD-R, and auctioning that for Interfilk at OVFF this October. You wanna hear a taste of this album? Come to OVFF and bid! Wow... OVFF is only a few weeks away. Have I mentioned that I'm the Interfilk guest at OVFF this year? I've got my set list planned, some new songs learned, the notes for my workshop typed up, and the plane tickets purchased. So, who else is coming? It looks like coming up this weekend is a Shindig (a theme party based on Joss Whedon's Firefly) here in Seattle. At the last minute, Vixy and I have been asked to play a few songs. The main musical guests are The Bedlam Bards, so that should turn out to be a great evening. The location is The Wayward Coffee House near 85th and Greenwood, at 7:00 on Saturday, September 30th. Hm. I wonder if me and my friend Susan will have our Mal and Zoe Halloween costumes ready in time for that? Edit: More details about the Shindig this Saturday are in Vixy's Journal. Be there or be square. |

I haven't seen a programming schedule yet, I'm sure they're still hammering it out. Traditionally, the guests get their concerts on Friday and Saturday nights, but I don't know what they'll be doing exactly.

...although I notice now that most of the votes for you were in Flickr/email.
