| Last Saturday's Shindig was fantastic. The place was packed with people, way past fire code I'm sure. The Bedlam Bards were great, as was Brandon Klassen, who has a great voice and did some wonderful Firefly songs. Hawke kept breaking the G string on his guitar, and at one point I helped him restring it quickly between songs. Vixy and I had a huge amount of fun performing our set, and the songs all got big laughs in all the right places. Seanan McGuire's Firefly songs did quite well, and our new song, "Companion" (not a Firefly song), seemed to go over quite well. Our only regret was having to leave before the Bards finished their set, as there was another simultaneous party going on that night we wanted to attend. Coming up we have... OMG WTF... OVFF is barely two weeks away! Aaaaa! I'm not ready! Must rehearse more! There's an Indigo Girls concert coming up on Sunday, November 5th, here in Seattle. Vixy will most likely be attending an OK Go show on that night instead (they should have checked with us first before booking the gig), meaning that I might have one or two extra tickets. Wanna come along? Send me a 1000 word essay about how much you love the Indigo Girls and what you would do on a date with Emily Saliers. (Just kidding. But do respond in comments if you're interested and you've got that night free.) |
