He will, he will, rock us.

Coulton is back in town! I know I said last time that this was a very rare thing. But it really is rare. Pay no attention to the fact that he's played here in Seattle twice in two months. If you missed the last show, now's your chance to come see him.

He's playing this coming Wednesday, October 11th, at 8:45pm, at the same place as last time, the Jewelbox Theater. If the situation this Wednesday is anything like it was in September, then you can't buy tickets in advance, you just have to show up a bit early and buy a hand stamp when they go on sale, usually anywhere from 30-60 minutes prior to the show. As before, since the Jewelbox is attached to Rendezvous Bar, this is an alcohol-serving 21-and-over-only establishment. And, as before, a great place for dinner before the show is Mama's mexican restaurant, which is just a few doors down.

Coulton will also be appearing with Hodgman at the Elliot Bay bookstore at 7:30 (just prior to the Jewelbox show), if you want to see them both. I don't know how Coulton is going to make the dash to the Jewelbox in time, but I think somehow either monkeys or robots will be involved.

Hope to see you there!

I have to say, my first reaction to this post was, "why does Tony have a picture of Rand up in his LJ?" then I checked out Coulton's page and realized that they just look really alike (especially in this shot). Eerie.

*You* think it's eerie? Imagine how Erin felt when they were hanging out with Coulton at Confluence earlier this year. I seem to recall she even commented about it in her blog.

I grant that in person, having two Rands would be a lot eerier. We don't get a lot of 'seperated at birth' filkers.

Hi, sorry to be a stranger posting to your LJ but I found it off of [livejournal.com profile] vixyish via [livejournal.com profile] ohiblather. I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for singing Skullcrusher Mountain at GAFilk last January. My friend [Unknown site tag] and I have been addicted to Coulton every since.

We loved your music and the 8-Ball as well :)
I sang as much of Comfortably Dumb as I could remember to my husband when I got home.

Hey, thank you! I hope JC knows that it's my covers of his songs in filk circles that have gotten him a sudden surge of listeners this last year. :-)

Oh, were you guys the winning bidders on the GaFilk 8-ball this year? I'm gonna be auctioning the third and last one in about a week at OVFF. Will I see you there?

my friend may have told him! my friend [livejournal.com profile] disbandedtoastr has spoken to him a little bit to get his permission to cover his songs at some of her gigs.

i wish we had gotten the 8-ball! the bidding went pretty high on that one. which is understandable as it was brilliant. it was our first Filk convention - we didn't realize what we were in store for so we weren't really prepared for the auction. hope the last 8-ball raises a bunch of money!

i wish we could go to OVFF. we are intending on going back to GAFilk next year. maybe we can see you & [livejournal.com profile] vixyish there :)

I'm very much hoping to make GaFilk again. It was a fun convention. Whether or not Vix and I make it is going to come down to how much accrued time-off we can get from our jobs.
