ConFlikt 1 was unfuckingbelievable. Not a lot of time to talk about it right now. But it was amazing. Some favorite highlights: Standing O for Ash Productions. Meeting and listening to Sooj. In the beginning there was dust dust DUST! Mark Osier's hilarious Seattle Worldcon Bid song. The concom's own song about ConFlikt. Membership of over 150. A hotel that is perfect for a filk con, up to and including good food at the hotel restaurant. And oh yeah... driving back to work on Monday morning, 15 minutes from the con hotel. Finally I get to have a con in my back yard for once. We have witnessed the birth of something great. Tony's really good with the guitar licks... I don't know if you know Jonathan Coulton's "Code Moneky" but I think Tony does it better than Coulton does himself. :) And wait'll the album comes out and you get to hear "Six String Love" tarted up like they want it... :)

Personally, I think I'm really only "good" at playing Mandelbrot Set, that's one where I do it significantly differently than JC plays it. I try to match the studio recording more than his live performance of it.
